From prototype to field
A physical trial can succeed as an event and remain weak as evidence. The system worked once, but the team still cannot say under which conditions it will work again—or which decision the result supports.
Start with the decision
Before choosing a range, route or instrument, state the decision that follows the test: continue, change architecture, integrate, or stop. The test must distinguish between those options.
Critical assumption
Turn risk into a scenario
A useful scenario names the condition, variable, expected behaviour and failure threshold. That makes uncertainty testable and gives the result a direct path into the next engineering decision.
Preserve negative evidence
A failure is valuable when its configuration, sequence and data are retained. It narrows uncertainty, exposes the system boundary and makes the next cycle cheaper.
